FESTIVAL OF MEDIA NEWS

Tango is famous for its irreverent and humorous campaigns, and saw an opportunity on which to capitalize when the UK experienced its biggest snowstorm in 18 years.
The snowfall inspired a number of tactical campaigns from brands, with Tango opting to play on the saying “don’t eat yellow snow” with its own orange twist, as part of a wider campaign to get the softdrink back on the public’s radar. In four hours, the brand and its agencies turned around a print ad that read “Don’t eat orange snow”. The ad was placed in morning free sheet Metro, alongside coverage of the cold weather.
The brand manager of Tango, Sally Symes, said that through a topical and fun message it creates the disruption and humour that they aim to deliver every time with Tango.
