During the 2004 electoral campaign in Quebec, candidates were posting pictures of themselves all over the province. Often these political messages would be attached to lampposts and and men’s clothing brand Henri Vézina saw a window of opportunity and seized it.
The political ads showed the three party leaders, using portrait-style images wearing, typically, suits. Henri Vézina acted quickly to create three different placards that could be placed directly below the respective candidates’ images to create the illusion that they were wearing the brand’s suits.
The simplicity of the idea and the brand’s quick-thinking won the agency a number of awards and attracted the attention of the media.
